Angel Dawes is an old friend, hailing from my world where together, we fought the demons of the darkness as Nighthunters, the highly-skilled, hardly-public hunters of supernatural evil who were feared by all manner of villains. Ours was a small but effective team and Angel was a strong pyrokinetic, pivotal to our team. An ex-mutant and even, I think, once cured of vampirism, hers is an unconditionally caring heart. She would do anything to protect anyone in need of it, even if this is detrimental to her own well-being or against her better judgement. Something that ultimately saw her walk the path that lead to her removal from the team.
It was great seeing her living here. I'm not entirely sure how she got here and why, there was so little time to ask her all of that. The life of a hero is a taxing one, never any time to relax, always some crime to stop or a disaster to avert. Like the investigations SOCRATES tasked us with -- looking into the Black Aces and their shipping of Qularr weaponry at the Millennium City docks, again.
