My investigations into the Black Aces and their heavy Qularr influence came to a head recently. I was with young Angel Dawes, my old friend and new student at the Academy when I received a call from the famous Orion Prime. He'd finished with some meetings and wanted to meet all new Ultimate Guardian recruits in person, namely me and one other. The sensible option was to join forces, meet up and fight the Black Aces. After all, what better way to get better acquainted with someone in the heroism profession than to fight side-by-side as a team and successfully clear the case? As it turned out, the Black Aces had been working with the Qularr again, under the leadership of a new alien agent. We defeated the criminals and cleared the warehouse, which as Orion pointed out, had been another make-shift breeding site for new Qularr eggs. He took a sample and we took all findings to Chief Surhoff, so the police can take over from there. The highlight of the evening was of course seeing Orion Prime in action -- he was indeed every bit an elite combatant and a noble spirit as his reputation suggests. Inspirational, to say the least.
