Advancing on my quests, I learnt of a Japanese research organisation known as Bureau 17 who's mission was based on a long lost land known as Monster Island. I travelled there by jet, accompanied by a squad of fellow heroes and saw with my own eyes this strange and savage place. Isolated from the rest of the world, evolution seems to have taken a bizarre and twisted turn, creatures lost in time and forgotten by the world have flourished, made wild by alien technology, scientific meddling of VIPER and ARGENT and the weird sorcery of an ancient civilization. The locals are referred to as Manimals and are suffering from Civil War, which I was forced to help get involved in, supporting the less savage and more lawful of the two sides and ultimately challenge the cruel sadistic outlaw geneticist who made these man-beasts, Phillippe Moreau.
