*Bride and Groom exchange a warm smile as the service begins*
“Be ambitious for the higher gifts. And I am going to show you a way that is better than any of them. If I have all the eloquence of men or of angels, but speak without love, I am simply a gong booming or a cymbal clashing. If I have the gift of prophecy, understanding all the mysteries there are, and knowing everything, and if I have faith in all its fullness, to move mountains, but without love, then I am nothing at all. Christ abundantly blesses this love. He has already consecrated you in birth and now he enriches and strengthens you by sacrament so that you may assume the duties of marriage in mutual and lasting fidelity."

May these rings be a symbol of true faith in each other, and always remind them of their love, that they are one in heart and mind. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen"
